This is because the Animated Feature Oscar hierarchy goes as such.ġ.) Is a Pixar film nominated? Yes? I vote for it. Plain and simple, it won because it's Disney. I am also a massive HTTYD2 fan, and loved Song of the Sea and Tale of the Princess Kaguya, so this is somewhat biased but still based on what I've witnessed following the Oscars for the past few years.
I know a lot of plot points about it already, and no matter how much people hype it up I really can't get enthusiastic enough to check it out. I haven't seen BH6 yet, but really have no desire to.
